The new versions of the Carrera 997 were presented in July 2008. The most relevant change was their increased power through the addition of direct fuel injection. The possibility of mounting an electronically controlled gearbox with dual clutch and 7 gears, called PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung), makes it even easier to manoeuvre, despite whatever the “old school” of Porsche owners believe.
